Your role as a full-time Program Director will be supported through instructional materials, on-going employer provided support & training.

 

DUTIES

The primary responsibility of the program head is to assist students to achieve success through the management of quality education and training delivery. As a key leader of an academic team, the scope of responsibilities focuses on program planning, resource allocation, effective delivery and building community relationships. In cooperation with their senior academic colleagues, dean, directors, and staff. Program heads fulfill the following specific roles and responsibilities:

 

• Manage the daily operations of program activities related to student matters

 

• Provide supervision and support for program instructors and assigned support staff

                Ensure development and delivery of quality programs/services responsive to the needs of business/industry and the public

                 

• Contribute to the development and implementation of the divisional business plan

 

• Contribute to the development and management of divisional operating and capital budgets

 

• Manage program resources on a day-to-day basis to ensure effective program delivery.

 

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND EXPERIENCE

Required

 

 

1. Experienced Educator with a Degree in a related field.

 

2. Degree/Diploma in dental hygiene, education or a related subject area.

 

3. Five years recent/relevant experience teaching/clinical experience.

 

4. Knowledge of current issues and trends in both Dental Assisting and Dental Hygiene.

 

5. Effective interpersonal skills.

 

6. Effective communication skills (both oral and writing).

 

7. Training and/or demonstrated experience managing budgets and allocating resources within established guidelines.

 

8. Effective organizational and problem solving abilities.

 

9. Effective leadership and supervisory ability.

 

10. Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships and partnerships with management, faculty, administrative staff, partners, and the public.

The school is looking for a detailed person with the ability to learn new skills.  You must be organized and be able work in a multi-tasked environment. 

You will be working in a fast paced computer networked environment and need to know MS Word and Excel at an expert level, and you will be working with an SQL Database within an intranet environment (Training will be provided).

These position’s require the individual(s) to have strong presentation and public speaking skills, combined with the ability to effectively interview, test, and screen potentially qualified students for Canadian Business School/College full and part-time career training programs.

As an instructor your primary role will be to deliver studio and instructor-led training in the classroom on a daily basis, to full-time or part-time students.
